Umi Hankins will facilitate a dialogue with guest presenters Kalimah Johnson and Lauren Collins as they explore some of the historical and current challenges of sexual assault in the Detroit, Michigan African American community.  Additionally, they will discuss current alternative culturally specific sexual assault prevention and intervention strategies that are being implemented locally and that assist with healing from emotional and physical trauma.
