I AM XENA: Featuring Jaqwon Jefferson

Join us as special guest, Jaqwon Jefferson of Alpha Gamma Xi Military Sorority and My Diva DeZigns, shares her Xena story. Mrs Jefferson is from Port Gibson, MS but currently resides in Killeen, TX. Like most people in Killeen, it was the military that brought her to Killeen. She served 5 years on active duty in the Army. After her enlistment, she went back to school to pursue her degree in Logistics Management. She then opened her own business, called My Diva DeZigns, which sells women’s shoes and accessories. While searching for a way to give back to military women who have served their country, she came across Alpha Gamma Xi Military Sorority and now serves as the South Regional Director for that organization. Mrs Jefferson is also the Lead Program Advocate for their SWANS Initiative. SWANS, Supporting Women And Nurturing Survivors, Outreach program caters to women who have experienced domestic violence and/or sexual assault. This is an initiative near and dear to her heart because she is a domestic violence survivor.  "No matter what happens on this journey called life; you are beautiful.
