Hybrid Jazz From Trish Hennessey - with James Kōb!

James KOBE (see how I did that?) is an American composer, arranger, producer and musician who is not content to EVER rest on his laurels.  He has been working for a LONG time - but 2016 has proven to be quite fruitful for our friend.  James is truly shining.  No wonder.  "So Right...The James Kob Experience" is setting a new bar in music :)  

This is how James and his repertoire on this project has been described: "Broadway-ish, Pop, Jazz, Bossa Nova and a little Cinematic Music."  The scope of this is monumental - and that's no exaggeration.  There are multiple genres here.  ORIGINAL music (can you feel the fresh breeze wafting across your face?)  Sublime vocalists Maria Schafer and Danielle Field were called to breathe life into songs.  And they did so in more than one language.  Tripp Sprague on sax; Derek Canon and Gil Castellanos on flugelhorn; Oboeist Lara Wickles.  And Co-Producer/Drummer Mark Haley.  All completely into the concept that James had in mind.  All thrilled that Film Director Mark Jacobs wanted to capture this creative process on film.  Oh yes, there's a documentary involved.  "The Making of...The James Kob Experience."  

We're going to be hearing the new single, "Because of You" - and we'll hear other tracks from this Golden Gift to Grateful Ears :)  We're building an entire show around the inspiration that James has given - to me and to many others.  This will be one of two shows this week - after that, a hiatus while yours truly makes the trek to the South.  For new work and blissful opportunities.
