Jeanette W. Hill, a creative activist, is a multiple-award winning playwright. The founder and artistic director of both JWHill Productions LLC and Sight Ain’t Seeing Productions (501-3-C), Jeanette creates stories about real life, the way Black people live it. She is known for themes and stories addressing social justice (Don’t Call Me Brother!), domestic abuse/violence (5 Women of Color, The Faces of #METOO, The Silent City), bullying (Courage the Hard Way),  and mental health (No Ordinary Days), her work advocates for the invisible and voiceless in society.

She is an advisory board member for the Atlanta Black Theatre Festival, Black Arts Matter-ATX Curatorial Committee, and an ArtistINC fellow, The Dramatists Guild, and the New Play Exchange. She has served as a peer reviewer for Mid-America Arts Alliance, the Austin Cultural Arts Program, Austin Creative Alliance, and the American Association of Community Theatre.
