Cynthia W. Primas holds an M.Ed. in Organizational and Small Group Development from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pa. She is currently CEO/President of the Institute for the Development of Education in the Arts (IDEA), an arts education nonprofit that she founded in 1996 in Camden NJ. As founding member of IDEA, she is responsible for developing the areas of public relations, program and grant development as well as public/private support. She has designed and created art programs for youth, opened the IDEA Performing Arts Center and implemented the IDEA Center for the Arts/Studios in downtown Camden that serves as a creative center for the community and a training facility for youth in Media and Performing Arts.
In addition, she has worked as an independent consultant and corporate trainer specializing in diversity and group dynamics, and has contracted with Elsie Y Cross Associates, Prime Directive Consulting Group, The Annie E. Casey Foundation, and the Human Resource Development Institute for the State of New Jersey.
