Healing Through the Sound of Music is a 501c3 music and theatrical performing arts company founded in 2001 by Mzuri Moyo Aimbaye. She is an internationally acclaimed vocalist, actress, and multi-award-winning playwright of The Fannie Lou Hamer Story who also co-starred as Lucy in the hit film Sankofa. She is joined by her husband, co-host, and executive producer Djehuty Se Hotep. SOULIN’ is an entertaining art and culture radio broadcast that promotes global peace and unity. A chance meeting on Match.com destined the co-hosts on an awesome adventure to expand every dimension of their worlds. This program is an offspring of their union with the intent to be so socially impactful that it inspires community engagement.

SOULIN’ written by NY City Symphony Music Dir., David Eaton and recorded by Mzuri 21yrs ago was surprisingly rediscovered New Year's 2021. Djehuty immediately recognized it as the healing theme song to create an upbeat program to launch the dream radio show Mzuri always wanted to connect with her global fans to attract callers.

Mzuri and Djehuty are thrilled to invite callers on a creatively entertaining journey of discovering empowering music and messages that inspire SOULIN’.  We engage callers by asking “how are doing today”, to wit they reply SOULIN’.  Then we ask, how are you SOULIN’ your world today?

Djehuty says SOULIN’ is Expressing Compassion Towards Oneself and Others as an act of social accountability.  He states the aim of the broadcast is to create an entertainingly unique way to respect, appreciate, and empower yourself as others.  Booker T. Washington said, if you desire to improve your condition in life or lift yourself up, then you should help someone else to achieve a better life.
