Hindu Radio:Black Money, Black Day and the Whitewash

Thousands of peaceful protesters against Government corruption brutally attacked by Police! Somewhere in the Middle East? No in India, the same India that boasts of being the world's largest democracy. India's most Popular Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev, despite his success, has gambled it all in an effort to bring back the billions of dollars of Indian money hidden within the Banks of Switzerland. Baba Ramdev organized a fast against corruption and received the support of Ana Hazare among others. At the fast a permit was given for 5000 to attend a Yoga camp in Delhi. Nearly 60,000 showed up. In a shocking move the Government revoked the permit without informing anyone and over 5000 armed Police descended upon the sleeping masses. Brutally chasing them from the grounds with tear gas and batons they put an end to the gathering. India's mainstream media, true to form, has come to the defense of the police action against a Hindu leader. The media's talking heads have decided that politics is not the domain of spiritualists and reserved solely for those of a mundane outlook. The right of millions of observant Hindus to demand transparency in Government, to expect fair representation and support for their political aspirations as citizens of India have been denied. India's Supreme Court has given the Government of India 2 weeks to explain its actions.
