Andrea Assaf is a theatre director, writer, performer, and cultural organizer. She’s the founding Artistic Director of Art2Action Inc., and a consultant with the Arts & Democracy Project. She's also the director of a new play, “Speed Killed My Cousin” by Linda Parris-Bailey and the Carpetbag Theatre, about an African American woman veteran who returns from Iraq with PTSD. Andrea has a Masters degree in Performance Studies from NYU, and serves on the board of several national arts organizations.
Andrea’s Organization, Art2Action Inc. and the Sacred Grounds Coffee House in Tampa, FL are pleased to announce a new creative space for Veterans, families, caregivers and allies in the Tampa Bay area: a MONTHLY Veterans' Open Mic on the1st Sunday of every month from 6:30-9pm @ Sacred Grounds (4819 E.
