Guest Linda Wagner, obesity survivor, is the first to admit that she had, and has a problem with pounds. In retrospect, she has gained and lost over 1,000 pounds over the years. Although athletic as a child, her battle with life events that affected her eating decisions from age 11 hounded her through failures with everything from Weight Watchers at age 14 to bariatric surgery at age 48, when she was over 400 pounds. So, without preaching, we’ll be talking to Wagner about some simple tips to know when you have a problem, and how to address it without pills, pain or penance.

Linda finally concluded that she had a food relationship problem, not a weight problem and met with Aaron Snyder, a 4th generation diabetic and obesity survivor. She re-focused her efforts, and for the first time in her life, Linda is losing weight and not gaining it back. Based on reason, not rationing, Linda is permanently losing weight the same way she gained it…one ounce at a time! Linda is re-engaged in her own personal relationship with herself.

But, obesity is a lonesome place. Individuals need allies, not advertising! Linda’s not-so-secret ally is up-to-date information and continuing support. She gets it from an interactive, up to date website that provides individualized information, exercises, recipes and support. www.newdiabetesrx.com gives her real tools, not products, to use at her pace, and in private. That is why Linda is both a patron and a contributor to this valuable site! The working title of her upcoming book is “Get Me Out Of This Fat Suit- Confessions of a true Fatty” .
