Imagine dialing 911 and the operator tells you “I’m sorry we have nothing that can help you”. This is essentially what has happen with the obesity epidemic and if that's not bad enough, science has no effective way to combat this disease. However, there is a solution so simple and so far ahead of its time no one has thought of it until now. If you know anyone overweight or obese, have them listen to this show with guest Dr. Clint Pearman, the founder of Copenology, an interdisciplinary field of study that researches how neuronal circuitry influence behavior and how to create neuronal circuitry that supports successful habits. Copenology is essentially the brain science of how we live up to our potential. Today we are talking to Dr. Clint about “Obesity the silent killer, the problems, myths, and the cellular nutrition and self-directed neuroplasticity solution”.  Dr. Clint has been studying the intersection of obesity behavior and how our brain is wired up since 2008 and he now believes he has found the solution everyone has been looking for and you will be hearing it today on Hello Dr CJ.

More than 2 out of 3 Americans are obese and more than 75% of them have stopped trying to lose the weight because nothing seems to work for them. Obesity is a life threatening disease because the risk factors include: coronary heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, certain forms of cancer including breast and colon cancer, high blood pressure, cholesterol problems, stroke, liver and Gallbladder disease, sleep apnea, respiratory problems, osteoarthritis, and Gynecological problems. And you can die from obesity; it is a leading cause of preventable death in the U.S., causing an estimated 300,000 deaths annually.
