What Trans Women Want & Need From "So-Called" Cisgender Allies

After the senseless murder of Chyna Gibson, it necessary to have a community conversation. The truth is we should be having several. Tonight, we will talk about being a "so-called" Cisgender Ally for Transgender Women of Color. Chyna's death is not the first senseless murder that has taken place. Goddess Gibson will make the 5th homicide victim in 2017 that identifies as a Transgender Woman. For years, the numbers of Transgender people being brutalized has increased.  The progressive community has been talking about bathrooms all week. However, we want to learn from the community we seek to serve what their wishes are. We are honored to be joined by a panel of Transgender Women willing to share their experiences.
