Soprano Anne Wieben has been hailed by critics as ‘sensual’ and ‘radiant’ (Münchner Merkur) with a ‘hint of femme fatale in her velvety soprano’ (Süddeutschezeitung).

In June, 2019, Wieben sang Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus with Oper Rund Um as part of Vienna’s Wir sind Wien,  a festival she sang in the year before as Donna Anna in Don Giovanni  She has also garnered critical acclaim as Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte, having performed the role with Teatro Barocco Vienna in 2017 as well as on tour throughout Germany in 2015/2016.   Her young career has led her to perform in some of the greatest concert halls of Europe, including the Vienna Musikverein and  Gasteig in Munich.

In July 2019, she will make her debut with the prestigious Salzburg Festival. July 2019 also sees Wieben return to her home state as the founder and creative director of Opera on the Lake, Minnesota’s newest summer opera experience. For the premiere season, Opera on the Lake will perform Die Fledermaus with Wieben singing Rosalinde alongside a cast of international and Minnesota-based opera stars.
