Are you dealing with grief after a loss? Join Grief Recovery Specialist, Audrey Pellicano R.N., M.S. on Grief’s Voice

Did you know that there is an emotional side to money and, after a loss, our emotions drive our financial behavior? After loss many people experience financial fears and grief can be the tripwire to those fears.

We store grief in our bodies. We feel money in our bodies.  Money is a core survival issue. When we’ve lost a spouse we feel like our very survival is threatened. Our world seems unsafe.  When we don’t feel secure at a basic level, our relationship with money is often affected. This is what leads to worry and anxiety and impulsive decisions that are meant to give us a feeling of comfort and/or control.

Join me with my guest Kelly Willis as we discuss these issues and learn how to overcome those financial fears and gain back financial control and security.

Kelly Willis is VP, Client Relationships at Newport Private Wealth, a high-net-worth wealth management firm in Toronto, Canada where she specializes in dealing with widows and women in transition. Working with her financial  colleagues, Kelly performs a unique role as the client’s trail guide and advocate --translating jargon, asking the right questions on behalf of the client and helping them connect their money to their highest values. She believes wealth begins on the inside and is passionate about helping women live richer lives.

She brings to this role a unique perspective as a widow, an enthusiastic investor, a communications professional with more than 18 years’ experience in the financial services industry and a certified money coach able to help people understand their relationship with money to live a more fulfilling and prosperous life.
