Has your annual appeal/fund program been given the responsibility of growing donor participation?  Having your organization focus on donor behavior by looking at reactivation and retention rates, Heather Albrecht, CFRE, will give tips on growing your annual appeal/fund program in maintaining a strong donor base while moving your most loyal prospects up the giving ladder and growing donor participation to make that “major” gift.

Heather Albrecht is originally from Michigan, where she attended and graduated from Northern Michigan University.  She started her fundraising career as an undergrad, working with Northern’s annual giving programs in the development office.

During her time at NMU, Heather held the position of supervisor, telephone campaigns where she oversaw the telemarketing program.  Later, she was promoted to associate director of the Annual Fund and responsible for the direct mail and telemarketing programs, and served as co-founder and advisor to the Northern Michigan University Student Alumni Foundation.

Upon leaving NMU, Heather joined the staff and students at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). There she held the positions of manager of operations and later was promoted to director of the UCLA Fund Chancellor’s Associates.

Heather currently resides in Chicago and is pleased to be a member of the RuffaloCODY team.  As Vice-President and Consultant for Religious and Educational Fundraising Services, Heather works with all of RuffaloCODY’s faith based programs and organizations in planning and implementing annual appeal efforts, as well as donor stewardship and recognition strategies.

Heather holds her CFRE and is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and Annual Giving Professional Network (AGPN).
