Special Guest: Sherri Shaner 'Where to Begin Raising Money'

Sherri Shaner is a Development Director at Peninsula Bridge. She'll talk about her involvement with Team in Training and the type of fundraising she's doing and where to start raising funds for an organization you believe in. Sherri has been in the non-profit arena specifically in fundraising for the last 13 years.  She intentionally switched to fundraising after a 14 year career in the staffing industry.  She spends her free time volunteering for other non-profit organizations such as the Association of Fundraising Professionals and Leukemia Lymphoma Society where she is currently raising money and training for the Canada Ironman in August.  Sherri believes that you can do anything you put your mind to and gets her inspiration from her late mother who was an amazing athlete and woman’s and senior health advocate.
