Jesus, Friend of Sinners

Jesus Christ came into a world begotten of and representing a holy and righteous God. One would have thought He would have found great joy and comfort in going to the “church” of his day, the synagogue. One would have thought He would have detested hanging out with the “sinners” of His day.

The Gospels tell us a different story!

What is it that drew Jesus to the sinners and caused Him to save His greatest criticisms and warnings for the “righteous” of His day? More importantly, what does that mean for us today?
