In early 2009, Edwin Edebiri set out to shift people’s mind from the gloom and doom that dominates the news and focus instead on happiness. He did this by approaching random strangers and posing two questions: "How happy are you, on a scale of 1 to 10, and what are two or three things that make you happy?"

Edwin start the I Am Happy Project, with a mission to "spread happiness globally, one person at a time." There are now I Am Happy project groups in 62 cities and 18 nations.

The Project is having an impact on our communities around the world. From helping to wrap gifts for children in Davis, California to visiting seniors in Chicago Illinois, to visiting orphanage homes in New Delhi, Indian and Benin city, Nigeria, I Am Happy Project is spreading happiness around the world.
