Your brain is like a massive computer that holds 100 billion bits of information from every moment of your life. It creates shortcuts  to remember more and retrieve it faster. The more you experience something, the stronger the pathway. Every time you see a hard surface attached to four legs, your brain identifies that object as “a table” .  The brain creates new neural pathways so that we can learn new things and commit them to memory. The more you focus on something, the stronger the pathways.

So when you imagine something that you desire; having an image of you with it --- thinking of it over and over again, a strong neural pathway is created. So the brain more easily spots circumstances and objects that you desire as if  the area becomes filled with things that your desire. With seeing so much of what you desire, you believe that you will get it so that there is confirmation bias, a term that means your brain is looking for or interpreting information to confirm its beliefs. This is another way of saying, you expect and allow yourself to receive what you desire.

Negative manifestations of this are seen every day in everyday language. “I knew it was too good to last”, “ I was waiting for the other shoe to fall”, “ No good deed goes unpunished”. The expectation of “bad” prepares us for bad and very likely “causes” the bad to happen through the process just described. When your brain focuses on something, it thinks you want more of it and moves to action in that direction. So keep your dreams front and present in my mind:
Post Notes with positive messages in places that you will see them often like Inside of kitchen cabinets doors; Schedule one-minute visioning where you take one minute every day day to envision something you  want; Verbalize Your Desires so other people will help you get it.
