Cassidy McMillan is the award-winning  Director/Producer/ Writer  of the acclaimed upcoming Documentary Film on bullying " Bullies And Friends" and President of  McMillan FilmWorks. Through her advocacy work, she has become a recognized  Expert, Speaker and Media Contributor on the topics of bullying, girl bullying, bullycide and relational aggression.She self-funded the initial production of the film using the proceeds from the sale of her home. Cassidy recently spoke at Miami's Florida International University College of Law  "Not On My Watch" Anti-Bullying Summit. Ms. McMillan has received the  Women In Film Foundation Award;  Walt Disney Company's Partners In Excellence Award;  United Nations UNA USA Global Impact Film Award;  Inanna Filmmaker Humanitarian Award;  and Cine's Social Awareness Award.

" Bullies And Friends" focuses on the true story of a 14 year-old girl who, after being bullied and threatened with death by 3 girls at her high school, hung herself in her bedroom with her dog's leash. In her suicide note, she named the 3 girls. The incident fueled a groundbreaking investigation that led to the landmark, precedent setting court case, where for the first time in North America, teens were made to stand trial for bullying. The Film not only recounts this emotional story, but also offers solutions to bullying, to teens, parents, schools and communities.  " Bullies And Friends" has been requested by elementary, middle, high schools, universities, law schools, youth organizations in 12 countries.
