About this time every year, people start on the journey to buy happiness at Christmas. But unlike the wise men, the journey does not head towards Bethlehem, but towards Walmart, Target, Best Buy and other destinations. There, they will begin to gather clothing, jewelry, IPADs, IPhones, X-boxes  and other treasures to set before their family and friends at Christmas. Like Survivor, they will try to outwit and outplay all others in a competition for these treasures. In the end, they may even have a moment of “happiness”, when their treasure is opened. But within a day, all of the good feelings will have passed and the truth will settle back in…that once again, they were unable to buy enduring happiness at Christmas Time. The strange thing is…we all know this. Yet, we do this ritual over and over again, like some addict searching to score a drug that may last a day. In this program, we will take a look at what drives this addiction, and what you can do so that on December 26, 2012, you will not look back with regret, but look forward to the best years of your life.
