With two weeks remaining in the 2012 NFL season, one of the most hotly debated topics in sports has been the absence of a single minority being hired for the 15 head coach and/or general manager openings in the league. Is it time to rework the Rooney Rule? Is there any motivation for owners to hire minorities to these prominent positions?

Well-respected sports expert, Professor Kenneth Shropshire will join us to discuss this controversial topic. Shropshire, the David W. Hauck Professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, recently wrote a thought-provoking article in the Huffington Post entitled "Race and the Global Business of Sports: 2013".

Shropshire is also the author of several award-winning books such as The Business of Sports, The Business of Sports AgentsThe Sports Franchise GameIn Black and WhiteSports and the Law, and Basketball Jones. His expert views have been presented in Wall Street Journal, Sports IllustratedNational Public Radio, and Nightline. He is also the Director  of the Wharton Sports Business Initiative. He serves as an arbitrator with clients including the National Football League Players Association and USA Track and Field.Shropshire is also Special Counsel at the law firm Duane Morris LLP.
