During a time when the national media pounces on every misstep or mishap college & professional athletes encounter, GCL is thrilled to talk to a former professional athlete who is using his platform, sharing his experiences, and helping other executives & athletes to reach their full potential.

Steve Hoyem, a former Offensive Lineman for the Buffalo Bills, will join us live to discuss his new venture Winning Seasons, LLC (www.SteveHoyem.com). Hoyem founded Winning Seasons LLC in 2011, to provide coaching, consulting, and speaking appearances. Winning Seasons provides life coaching for athletes, executives, and those individuals wanting to be at the top of their game.

After a successful college & professional career on the gridiron, Hoyem spent 15 years as an executive for a west-coast tech firm.  A year ago, after an epiphany, Hoyem decided to walk away from the corporate world in order to launch Winning Seasons as a way to offer support & guidance to individuals and athletes who can learn from his remarkable journey.

Join us this week as Steve shares his story and provides his perspective on the challenges & struggles that elite athletes face on a daily basis, how he endeavors to help them turn their life around, and what leagues/organizations can do to offer more support.

We’ll also wrap-up our GCL Olympic coverage, discuss the rookie debuts for RGIII, Andrew Luck, and Ryan Tanneyhill, debate the Dwight Howard trade, and comment on Hard Knocks.

Tune in at 1:00pm EST, Wednesday, August 15th for the live show & call us at (347) 215-6813 to ask a question or make a comment. You can also download the show on iTunes to listen to it later!
