As you wait for NBC's tape-delayed coverage of your favorite Olympic event from London, tune in as we give you a firsthand account of what it is like to be able to say you're an Olympian for the rest of your life as 1992 Bronze Medalist Kim Oden joins us live!

Every 4 years, individuals from around the world gather around their television sets (or computers & mobile devices) to watch the best athletes in the world compete & chase their lifelong dream of standing on the podium with a medal around their neck as their national anthem plays in the background.

In some cases, viewers are even moved to tears as an athlete who overcame the odds excels on the grandest stage. While watching, many wonder exactly what it is like to be an Olympian.  The GCL Crew is excited to ask Oden, a two-time Olympian who had the highest hitting percentage in the 1988 Olympics in Seoul & won a bronze medal during her 2nd Olympic experience with the women's indoor volleyball team in Barcelona in 1992, to look back on her athletic career & share what her Olympic journey was like.

We'll ask Kim about the ups & the downs of being an Olympic athlete, what was going through her mind as she joined her fellow Olympians in the Parade of Athletes, what inspired her to play volleyball, the challenges Olympic athletes face, and more.

The GCL Crew will share their thoughts on the aforementioned Olympic Coverage from NBC.  We'll talk about football as NFL training camps are underway & college camps are around the corner.  And, the hosts will debate Hope Solo's controversial tweets & Tyson Chandler's threat that NBA players may boycott the World Cup of Basketball if they can't play in future Olympic competitions.

Tune in Wednesday at 1:00pm ET as we share "A New View from the Sidelines"!!
