Hip Hop is more than music, more than a culture, it's a way of life that can be used to heal.  Adia McClellan Winfrey carried the Olympic Torch at age 16 and has been blazing trails ever since.

Rap lyricist, author, international speaker, Doctor of Clinical Psychology, Dr. Dia, as she is endearingly known, is author and creator of H.Y.P.E. a movement that merges Hip Hop and psychology to reach typically disenfranchised youth ages 13 to 22; particularly reaching out to African American boys (as featured from Talk Black to the Juvenile Justice Information Exchange.)

Her ground breaking work has been featured by NPR, Jet Magazine, and every medium of programs around the world.  She's written from peer-review journals to on and offline publications, spoken to schools, organizations, universities, national conferences and more. Dr. Dia trains facilitators of the H.Y.P.E. program and sits on panels and speaks at  programs internationally, most recently doing a tour of the United Kingdom.

Learn more about the ground-breaking work at H.Y.P.E. Website  As with many of our exciting, ongoing initiatives, this begins an ongoing partnership to promote the values and lessons of H.Y.P.E. Including this first 2 hour one on one interview, then she will guest #CPHC today at 1 ET on Twitter, and join Wednesday October 9 on this program with her long time mentor, and the first United States Ambassador of Hip Hop Ms. Toni Blackman.  Then much more to come!
