An absolutely amazing episode with Emmy Nominated Debra Alfarone who is lead nightly reporter for WUSA9 in Washington DC.

At 9/11/2011 she was working at the World Trade Center.  Amidst the chaos of the events, she realized that as great as her life and job was, that she needed to pursue her passion to become a television journalist to tell the stories that others were not telling, to give voice to those who had none.

With absolute tenacity and courage, she left her job and took every entry level "dues paying" job in the business of news that she could find.  She worked her way up to an NBC affiliate, then into New York City, and is now with a major network program in Washington DC.

There she learned the story of Ethan Saylor, a boy with Down Syndrome who went to the movie theater and never came home alive.  While virtually no-one has been covering it, she has held on for 9 months covering this story until someone- from the sheriff's office to Governor Martin O'Malley will give her some answers.

Moving, funny, inspirational... this is an episode you should download and listen to again and again.  And you'll learn- this will not be the last you'll hear of me and Debra Alfarone!
