Navigating Healthcare for Your Loved One - An Interview with Dr. Rochester

Dr. Rochester was the caregiver for her father who developed dementia.  She is also a Pediatrician, so thought navigating through the healthcare system and advocating for her dad would be easy.  Along the way, she discovered just how difficult this world is and what a nightmare it is to communicate and coordinate with all the different providers involved in his care.  Through this experience, Dr. Rochester felt a calling to help other caregivers in this situation.  She left her practice to begin a new venture - yourgpsdoc.com.  Dr. Rochester joins me to discuss what she learned first hand and offer tips to help other caregivers working their way through the healthcare quagmire.
