Shoestring Venture: Steve Monas

Best-selling author , Steve Monas, stops in to share how to build a business on a shoestring.  Steve co-authored, "Shoestring Venture: The Startup Bible", ranked #1 best-seller on Amazon in the E-Commerce and Small Business categories.

Known as a “serial shoestring entrepreneur”, Steve moved from San Diego to Kauai, Hawaii, on a whim and settled in the south shore town of Poipu where he is working on various web projects including the relaunch of ScourEvents.com and a taxi and tour business called “Pono Taxi”, proving again that Shoestring Venture is not only for web projects or e-commerce, it is for all entrepreneurs.

Pono means “a balance in the universe and doing the right thing”. The name was given to Steve by a royal Kanaka family member, known around the world as Hawaiian Billy.  Steve manages Pono Holdings, LLC, and the proceeds go back to Hawaii, the sovereign nation, not the state.
