Where Are The Women? TMU is proud to Present:
Christine has been involved in domestic violence victim's advocacy since 1999 and worked professionally as Development & Communications Director for her local domestic violence and rape crisis program for nearly seven years. Domestic Violence Crime Watch, which tracks domestic violence related homicides and other related news, began in early 2011 as a night and weekend project in her living room and has rapidly grown to reach nearly 40,000 visitors per month. She recently left her full-time job in order to work on building Domestic Violence Crime Watch into a vibrant community as well as an important resource for domestic violence awareness and prevention education. In addition to the website, she publishes the Domestic Violence Crime Watch Monthly Review, a report documenting domestic violence related deaths, trials, and other news and events on the domestic violence front. Christine grew up in south Alabama, attended Faulkner State Community College and Auburn University, and enjoyed a fourteen year career as a television advertising representative in Alabama and New York City before becoming committed to domestic violence victim's advocacy.
