Have you ever had a fear of entering a hospital for what the doctor told you would be a routine procedure only to learn that when you were all done you caught an infection.  Or perhaps your child was playing at the local playground and then came down with a skin rash only to find out it was some type of infectious disease. 

These are real fears that many people have, but most are not even aware of the potential dangers or what preventive measures could be taken to protect themselves and their loved ones.

Today we have as our guest Dr. Roberto Posada, M.D an expert in infectious disease to talk about and S. Aureus or more commonly known as a Staph Infection.

Dr. Roberto Posada, MD

Dr. Roberto Posada is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Infectious Diseases at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He received his medical degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and completed his residency and fellowship at the Pediatrics Montefiore Medical Center. He is a Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist with more than 15 years of experience in the field.

Dr. Posada is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases. He has been recognized on numerous occasions by the National Committee for Quality Assurance for the Patient-Centered Medical Home Recognition Program as well as the Physician Practice Connections Recognition Program.
