Nerd Herders Ep. 74: Are Fandoms Cable TV's Superhero?

There was a time when we'd all go straight to Netflix, Hulu, Video On Demand, even YouTube, for our viewer needs - cable TV didn't stand a chance....or did it?

In leui of shows that held pre-existing fans, and thus creating all new fans, like The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Dr. Who, the entire DC CW lineup, and more, we ask the question: Have fandoms saved Cable Television? Or are the dreaded "spoilers on social media" simply forcing us to watch the shows live as they air instead of waiting?
