According to Shayne, if you're passionate about what you do, you'll be successful, have fun, and never work a day in your life. So many times we get caught up in the day to day stress of being business owners that we forget to think about why we started in this industry.
Like many of you, I grew up with an inherent love of nature. This is why I derive so much gratification when I can help my clients spend more time enjoying their lives by being outside.
The only thing more rewarding than this is my involvement in community service projetcs. In addition to the voulunteer work we do at YardApes, I am currently judging the PLANET Community Stewardship Awards and I have read some unbelievable stories from landscape contractors who are making a difference in their communities.
You can have all the money in the world, but if you don’t love what you do, give back to your community and enjoy mother nature then what’s the point?
