"Never Say Never Again" was the title of the movie in which the late great Sir Sean Connery revived his role as superspy James Bond. It was a joke on his promise after "Diamonds Are Forever" that he would never play Bond again. In 2016, Sting, who had only wrestled four matches in WWE, announced his retirement during his Hall Of Fame speech. It was announced Thursday that Sting will make his in ring return on February 26 during AEW Revolution. This week's MLW Fusion, which Lee covers for Sportskeeda, saw an official debut and a short, but mysterious interview with lead heel manager Selina De La Renta which may have given a lead into a new potential storyline.
WWE has signed several new talents, including someone Steve has interviewed, and of course in the tradition where you did not exist before being signed by WWE, even if you've worked for WWE before, they're being slapped with new names. GCW has announced the first four matches for their free online "Fight Forever" event that will occur from January 29-30.
The situation in Mexico is making it look bleak for lucha for the immediate future. Impact held its "Hard To Kill" pay per view on Saturday in which AEW champion Kenny Omega wrestled in the main event, the first time a non Impact wrestler had ever been ON an Impact card, let alone recognized as champion of another company. Speaking of which, a current New Japan wrestler, who used to be part of a group with half of that main event, is making overtures, but not to whom you might think.
