Rape and Suicide: A Tipping Point?

We cannot ignore the recent suicides in California, Nova Scotia, and India. Each of these young women were rape victims. Two of the three were violated and then re-victimized in social media. If nothing else, their lives and traumatic deaths, can spur on an urgent conversation. How can we teach our children to have greater empathy and compassion? What can we do to change our perceptions of young people who have been victimized? A young woman who is raped is not a slut! She is a victim of a heinous crime.
