Healing With Light and Meditation with Dr. Bill Harpur

Vision therapy and meditation make for a poweful healing combination and Dr. Bill Harpur is a master of both.

Dr. Harpur earned his doctorate in optometry from UC Berkelely in 1982 and returned to San Diego to practice.  He has been emphasizing preventive eye care from the beginning, incorporating vision therapy and phototherapy into his practice since 1989. Dr. Harpur became associated with 4S Eyecare and Optometry in 2004 with an emphasis in Developmental Optometry. He has completed extensive continuing education in vision therapy since graduation from optometry school and is a member of the American Optometric Association, The College of Optometrists in Vision Development, the Optometric Extension Program, and is a Fellow of the College of Syntonic (Phototherapeutic) Optometry.  He also works for Kaiser Permanente with a specialty in orthoptics. 

Dr. Harpur has been practicing the Transcendental Meditation technique daily since 1973, becoming credentialed as a teacher of the TM technique in 1977. He is now actively teaching TM in San Diego, finding the proven health benefits of the technique to be complementary to his optometry practice.
