One of the funniest shows in old time radio is 'The Great Gildersleeve'. Harold Peart played the part of a comedic, know-it-all, but he played it as a very fallible character. And he played this character to the hilt. His episodes revolved around a great cast of recurring and occasional characters. The plots from the show usually revolved around his trials raising his neice and nephew, his job, his numerous love affairs and crushes, and his friends.

Tonights episode has to do with his social club, 'The Jolly Boys', and tonight their having an election. As usual Gildy will have his foot in his mouth a few times!

This and 1000s of other great old time radio shows are available at eddiesotr.com.
