The Fraud of ADHD

Join Dr Pauline & Catherine this week as they discuss one of the debated "disorders" in the medical community.  ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), and the doctor that coined the phrase "ADHD", Leon Eisenberg.  It seems that our society has gone from, "run off the energy of an over-active kid" to "medicate the over-active kid".  Did you know that ADHD is more environmentally triggered (activity level, diet, parental influence, etc) than genetic?  To paraphrase Dr Eisenberg, "If, in the natural order, there is a slight genetic propensity, but there is no "trigger" in the environment, then there will be no manifistation of symptoms."  It seems like almost everyone knows someone who has been diagnosed with this "disorder".  Even Dr Pauline will talk about her experience with one of her children displaying ADHD tendencies.  This is a very important show and we encourage everyone to listen.
