Today on Everyday KC, it's "back to school" time, so we revisit our talk about the future and how today's realities are likely to impact it. We discuss the state of the US public educational system from the classroom perspective. We are joined by Shawnee Mission West High School English teacher, Annie Heidersbach Flurry, and Hickman Mills elementary teacher, James Worley. Two very different perspectives - one high school, one grade school, one wealthy district, one economically depressed district, one high-performing district, one on provisional accreditation - yet one common message - it's about shaping America's future by molding the next generation of citizens.

These two dedicated instructors, each with over a decade and a half experience, tell what's still right, what's gone wrong, and what can be done to move forward in our public schools.

You won't want to miss it!
