Diagnosing Fibromyalgia, New FDA Statin Warnings, FM Call

Health Care blog review and discussion, starting with Warm Socks (with RA) comments about scheduling and waiting for time with doctors.  Dr Jonas then reviews Deb's Fibromyalgia Blog which included her story about getting her diagnosis and changing medications across three or four clinical sites when her doctor died.  The host then talks about fibromyalgia diagnostic criteria changes from an article in Musculoskeletal Medicine.  These appear to allow more patient-doctor communication points that may a better understanding of each patient's situation and needs.  He also reviews The Singing Pen of Dr Jen's post about her paronychia, Dr Kenny Lin's Common Sense Family Doctor and Medical Student comments in The Future of Family Medicine blog, suggesting serious consideration of getting more four year Family Medicine training programs.  Dr Jonas ends with his Dr Synonymous post about after hours call in Family Medicine.  Strangely, the show again was interrupted by 8 successive disconnections from Skype, which may be annoying or amusing to the listener.
