Part social entrepreneur (UniTee Design, Inc.), part non-profit director (The Better Detroit Youth Movement), part strategic marketer, and part community and event organizer (The National Black TEEN Empowerment Expo), in all he aspires, R. Lee Gordon is always a catalyst in better inspiring and educating our (African-American) youth, specifically, and all children, ultimately. As former director of marketing and public relations for Molly Maid, an international residential cleaning franchise, Mr. Gordon supported the marketing, PR and media needs of more than 500 domestic franchise owners. In 1999, he co-founded a Detroit-based marketing company that provided strategic marketing solutions and products to more than 215 business owners. In 2008, Mr. Gordon founded The National Black TEEN Empowerment Expo (NBTEE) to build a national youth movement, community by community, and to collectively discuss, determine and deliver better ways to reach and teach today’s young generation. Gordon’s hope is that by leveraging strength in numbers and socioeconomic power, we can ensure our children’s needs are a greater fulfilled priority.
