Michael Hanson reading poetry

The sudden, unexpected death of Michael Hanson's mother from pancreatic cancer, the difficult dissolution of a 12-year marriage, and a two-week tour of Ireland (where he spread a portion of his mother’s ashes on the west coast) lit a bonfire inside Michael, a creative conflagration that now burns intensely throughout his many evocative, beautiful, and haunting poems.
