Teenage Dating Violence

Our guest, Marissa Presley, is Bilingual Prevention Education Specialist for Laura’s House (a shelter for battered women which is named for a teenage girl who was killed by her boyfriend). Marissa develops outreach events and manages the H.E.A.R.T.  Program: Healthy Emotions and Attitudes in Relationships for Teens. Through this program Marissa has the opportunity to provide dating violence prevention workshops in public/private schools; youth service organizations, detention centers, and congregations. She has experience mentoring at-risk youth and developing relationships with the community in diverse, multicultural contexts.
