Capitol Protests, Are They Simulating The George Floyd Protests

Wednesday January 6th, 2021, will go down in Infamy. It was the day trump supporters who had just left a rally organized and supported by trump and his allies, incited a mob to stage a take-over of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, DC. 

From all accounts this was an insurrection and a coup. All 435 members of Congress and 100 Senators, including the vice-president, a trump loyalist, were inside.

Was this mob trying to simulate the George Floyd protests? What was their agenda? Did they have a civil rights grievance or did they just feel left out, because after they  are white, they were not shot at, beaten,or rubber bullet-pelleted. From all indications, barriers were removed, police took selfies with them while they robbed and pillaged the bastion of American democracy.
