Prayables to Keep You Motivated and Encouraged

Based on Kelli's definition of a "diva," Susan Diamond certainly fits the bill. Having spent a large portion of her life dedicating her time and energy to work with non-profit, faith-based organizations, she had a revelation. It didn't matter what God women prayed to, they were all praying for the same things. They wanted health and security for their family. They wanted a sense of worth and purpose. They wanted relief from stress and to offer thanks for blessings. There was one problem: traditional prayer had very little to do with the modern woman. Traditional prayers of most faiths were written by men in robes who lived centuries ago and had no conceptualization of the challenges and joys women today would face. To bridge the gap between desire to pray and ability to do so, Susan launched Prayables.com, an interfaith prayer website just for women. There, real women write prayers for the modern woman in a relatable fashion, with topics ranging from orgasm to menopause, crazy bosses to aging, parenting to grandparenting. The result? A strong community of women thriving in a tolerant, faith based environment, and all because one woman had the guts to take a chance on a crazy sounding business model.
