For every living thing, there is a nucleus. A center if you will that generates energy, the core; for lack of a better word. During the ‘bighair’, metal age of the 80s there was a duo, a nucleus by which the Chicago rock scene, arguably, generated and flourished. That duo was Glen & Jon Dobbs. This was the greatest songwriting and harmonies partnership of that time. Created in 1979, Paradoxx housed this brotherhood and began a memorable journey throughout the eighties and inspired musicians of that era to musically compete for audience affection. This competition had birthed extensions of this musical collaboration but none had ever matched this union. “Paradoxx” is a time period by which most music lovers of the 80s can express what had happened in their lives during this phase. It was a very important, almost cult-like experience for others, who to this day have dreamed that this union would once again come together and awaken that feeling of yesteryear.
