DSMALive 'Rents: Sherry Roberts

Sherry is a former RN - soon to be a practicing RN once more. She last practiced nursing when her first born daughter was a year old. With the birth of a second daughter she decided to focus on parenthood. Little did she know that her nursing background would become part of parenting with a diabetes diagnosis of her two year old. 

The theme of Sherry's life as the parent of a child with diabetes and a nurse re-entering the workforce seems to be ‘balance’ — balance in both her life and the lives of her children, particularly that of her child with diabetes.  Sherry is  always seeking balance — always self analyzing and evaluating to ensure she maintain perspective and haven’t become too narrow in her focus.
