How do you feel about community colleges offering 4 year degree programs? Bakersfield College is the first community college in California to offer a bachelors degree, this offer begins on Jan 20, 2016. The degree is in industrial automation. The whole cost will be less than 10,000 compared to the average of 25,000 – 50,000 at a University. I am personally glad to see that these selected community colleges are offering these programs. I believe this offers student degrees that will actually be used at an affordable price. I would advice students and older adults to apply for their FAFSA in order to be ready to take advantage of new degrees that may be offered in the future.
