This week we resume our study of Urantia Paper 9 with Section Section 5. The Ministry of Mind. This paper is the last of the initial papers on God and his Deity Associates, authored by the Divine Counselor.

In our study so far we have learned that The Infinite Spirit is also known as God the Spirit, the Third Great Source & Center, and the Conjoint Actor. That he pervades all space and indwells the circle of eternity. Like the Father and Son, the Spirit is perfect and changeless—absolute. He is motivated by the Father-Son partnership. He also compensates for the incompleteness of the development of experiential Deities—God the Supreme and God the Ultimate.

We've discovered that God the Spirit brings into existence the universal and absolute mind and that the Conjoint Creator is not the source of energy but the manipulator of energy. Mind may be superimposed on energy, but pure spirit does not need to be added to mind because spirit is innately conscious. Truly, the insight of spirit transcends the consciousness of mind.

This week we'll explore that The Infinite Spirit ministers to all minds on all spheres. He is personally conscious of every intellect in creation. God the Spirit bestows mind and is infinite in mind. If the universe should grow endlessly, his mind potential would remain adequate to endow limitless numbers of creatures with suitable minds.

9:5.6. Mind, on Urantia, is a compromise between the essence of thought perfection and the evolving mentality of your immature human nature. The plan for your intellectual evolution is, indeed, one of sublime perfection, but you are far short of that divine goal as you function in the tabernacles of the flesh. Mind is truly of divine origin, and it does have a divine destiny, but your mortal minds are not yet of divine dignity.

Studying this paper has been amazing, insightful, and sublime. We hope you can join us!
