Have you ever felt a pain that cut so deep you didn't think you'd ever stop "bleeding"? We've all experienced loss. Whether the end of a relationship, the death of a loved one or any transition in life, what we perceive as an ending is also a new beginning. On today's show we join our guest experts as they teach us to let go of the pain and embrace the potential.

You know Alicia Coppola from CBS’s Jericho, the only television show in a decade to be renewed after cancellation due to popular fan response. She also played the award-winning role of Lorna Devon on NBC’s Another World and currently stars in MTV’s Teen Wolf. While she's played many notable roles, one of her most important was chronicling her father's journals in her new book. Gracefully Gone is a decade-long dialogue between Alicia and her father as he lay dying from brain cancer. Through writing her book and acting roles where loss was a prominent theme, Alicia says she was given a gift:  She was able to relearn how powerful and hopeful we as people actually are and what the human spirit can and must endure after severe loss.

Dianne Gray is a nationally recognized speaker and award winning writer/journalist. Dianne is President of both the Elisabeth Kubler-Ross Foundation and Hospice and Healthcare Communications. She is currently producing a documentary on end of life care for PBS. Wherever she goes, Dianne sits bedside with the ill and the dying. She sees her family's end of life experience with her son, Austin, (who died in February 2005) as the gift of a lifetime.
