0150 2010, Mon Sept 13, Conservative Latino Talk Radio is America's leading conservative talk show from the Latino perspective. LatinoTalk revisits the concept of morality as the fundamental component of Republicanism. “Republicanism is Liberty balanced with Responsibility guided by morality.” It is that morality that I speak of in this show. The fundamental issue in politics is morality equals principals but we find in politics today that some politicos, Democrats for example, allow their politics to dictate their “principals.” Republicans should not do that as they should require their politics to conform to their principals (or they are NOT “principals”). I discuss how some politicos, socialists on the left and Libertarians on the right seek to eliminate “morality” and religion from not only the public venue but also from political discourse. Socialists seek to eliminate it because religion creates the morality that is in opposition to socialism. However, Libertarians see religion and morality as yet another form of government or oppression and; therefore, oppose it as it could be used in governance. This is one reason why I argue that Republicanism is NOT any form of Libertarianism. However, I find that in politics today, libertarianism and socialism are very influential, and they have successfully muddled the meaning of “Republicanism” and “Liberalism.” I’m here to spread the truth about Republicanism and the those who seek to redefine it.
