The US admits an estimated 1.3 million immigrants each year and is home to approximately 11 million illegal immigrants.  An estimated 550,000 illegal immigrants call New Jersey home.

Some argue that illegal immigration imposes a financial burden on taxpayers, while others argue it creates an economic boom.

The federal government has been wrestling with the problem of illegal immigration and have been trying to formulate a pathway to citizenship.  But what is the consequence to those who have come to the US legally and are going through the process to become a legal American citizen?

Gayle Kesselman, co-chair of NJ Citizens for Immigration Control, joins "Common Sense" to discuss the implication of illegal immigration on our communities, the economy and our school and healthcare systems.
